On July 14, 2026, Sai Dong Urban Primary School organized a training programme on English as a Medium of Instruction (EMI) for its teaching staff, with the aim of enhancing teachers' professional competence and continuing to improve the quality of teaching in line with the school's international integration orientation.
During the training programme, teachers learned about the core principles of the EMI approach, how to use English as the language of instruction in different subjects, and were introduced to strategies for lesson design, organizing learning activities, and supporting students in acquiring knowledge effectively in a bilingual learning environment. The EMI approach contributes to the simultaneous development of students' language competence, thinking skills, communication skills, and independent learning abilities.
